Surrey Hindu Cultural Association based in Byfleet, Woking is a charitable association to help Hindu community connect for cultural, religious and community activities.

The founding goals of SHCA is to procure a permanent place of worship for the Hindu community in Surrey.

We organise Saturday temple for our devotees who join us to chant religious Hindu hymns such as Sri Vishnu Sahsranam, sing Bhajans and spiritual songs as well as participate in community dinner. Join us from 6.30 pm every Saturday at our Byfleet community centre.

We also organise many cultural and religious events throughout the year as per the Hindu calendar for the Indian diaspora, who want to keep a connection with the Indian culture.

Appeal for
Oxygen Concentrators

India was showing the world the way to emerge from the pandemic. Through locking down early, through early mass production of vaccines, through masking up and covid appropriate behaviour.

And just when it felt like India was turning a corner, all hell broke loose. A new strain has torn through the hinterland and devastated the cities, as our brothers and sisters are gasping for breath.

Let us do our bit, and reach into our pockets and fund the effort to send relief aid and oxygen concentrators to India, and give those suffering a fighting chance to survive.

At SHCA, we are pledging to donate £5000, and we are calling upon the members of the Hindu Community to make this happen.

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah |
Sarve Santu Niraamayaah |
Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu |
Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet ||
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
